A new water fountain for Kamati school

At the end of October 2013 Marco went to Kamati village to inaugurate a new water system for Kamati school as the present water well dried up. In the picture Marco (left) poses proudly together with Eng Gholam  Hussein (standing, centre) and Kamati head teacher (right) near the new water fountain built by Shuhada Organisation. The fountain is served by a water pipe almost 2km long, bringing the water from the other side of the valley.

A Photo opportunity with the village elders and the teacher of Kamati in a sunny but already chilly day. Kamati school stands at 3100m height, at the foot of the massif of Shah Folady, the highest mountain of the Hindu Kush range, and is now inside the newly created Natural Park of Shah Folady.
